Happy one-year anniversary, Quill! 🎉

Quill came to HALT alongside his bonded companion Quest. Over time, as Quest's health changed, their relationship fell apart — something that, while sad, is not uncommon in guinea pigs. For some, it is a survival instinct: when a companion begins to decline, the other pig may distance themselves. It does not mean they did not care. It means they are wired to survive.

His Herd​

Quill now lives happily with Simon, Xaden, Benedict, and Socks. He has found his people, and he is thriving.

His Personality​

Quill is, by all accounts, the most unproblematic fella in the house. He is healthy, calm, and content. He does not demand the spotlight — which is probably why he does not get shared as often as some of his more dramatic housemates. But that does not make him any less loved.

At 7 years old, he is a senior gentleman, and he is doing beautifully.

In Memory of Quest​

Quill came to us with Quest, and Quest is now over the rainbow bridge. We are not ready to write that section of the story yet — but we know Quest is watching over all of them. Happy anniversary, fellas. We are so glad Quill is here.
